Detta är en icke vinstdrivande organisation med sitt huvudontor i Caracas.
1960 lades grunden för denna organisation då ett bytescenter för läroböcker grundades.
Man har under snart ett halvt sekel genom olika projekt förmedlat böcker och lusten att läsa och skriva till ett oräkneligt antal barn och unga.
Man har också låtit bygga modellbibliotek, initierat skolbiblioteksnätverk, startat barnboksförlag med mera.
